Capacity Building Workshop on REDCap Data Collection – National Women’s Cancer Study
The Kano Independent Research Centre Trust (KIRCT) is organizing a national capacity-building workshop to strengthen data management competencies for the National Women’s Cancer Study.
The training will focus on the application of the REDCap platform—both mobile and web versions—for efficient, standardized, and secure data collection across multiple study sites. Participants will receive comprehensive, hands-on instruction on key aspects of data management, including data entry and uploads, maintaining data integrity and quality, and synchronizing offline and online records.
The National Women’s Cancer Study is a multi-centre project scheduled to commence across 14 selected states in Nigeria. It encompasses major gynaecologic cancers, including breast, cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vulvar, and gestational trophoblastic cancers.
Facilitated by Dr. Hassan Adam Murtala (MBBS, MPH, MIPC, MBA), the workshop underscores KIRCT’s commitment to enhancing national research capacity, promoting excellence in data management, and advancing women’s health research in Nigeria.
